Elizabeth I

This is a really beautiful drink, combining three of my favorite things: ginger, fernet, and pineapple. It’s lower ABV, what you might call a session cocktail, great for a party or a long night. This is one of the first truly excellent cocktails I made, which is why I have decided to revive it for the relaunch, under a new aesthetic.

The base of this drink is a ginger-flavored English fortified wine, and I have named this drink after Elizabeth the 1st, a famously red-headed queen of England.

Elizabeth I

2 oz Stone’s Ginger Wine

.5 oz Fernet Branca

.5 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice

1 tsp (.125 oz) Fresh Ginger Juice

Shake over ice and double-strain into a cocktail glass.

Garnish with a mint leaf, expressed.

Cheers.
